Connecting the founder’s aspirations to the future.
In 1934, Mr. Kiichiro Toyoda (founder of Toyota Motor Corporation) ordered to develop chemical parts for the Toyota A-type passenger cars, and his older brother, Fujinobu, began manufacturing tires and rubber seal parts. After the war, his younger brother, Koichi, moved his factory to Obu City, and the history of our company began. With the aspiration of "creating new value and contributing to society," we have laid the foundation for business development by focusing on technological development.
75 Years of History and Sustainability
Tokai Kogyo started manufacturing rubber parts, but in the 1960s, it began molding resins and urethanes by continuing technological development to follow the world’s top runner in the automobile industry of Japan. We have also established overseas production bases to establish ourselves as a global supplier and to contribute to the development of motorization in Japan. We are convinced that the foundation of Tokai Kogyo’s sustainability, which has continued to develop beyond the 75th anniversary of its founding, is that we have continued to develop our corporate activities while gaining the trust of our customers and local communities by practicing the spirit of "Sanpo Yoshi" (good for sellers, good for buyers, and good for the world) of Omi Merchants.
In order to continue to move forward with a wider range of stakeholders, while preserving the foundation laid by our predecessors, Tokai Kogyo has begun to develop its corporate activities as "Rokpo Yoshi no Tokai Kogyo" by adding "good for makers," "good for the earth," and "good for the future" to the three directions.
In terms of technological innovation, we are not only improving productivity efficiency and expanding our business, but also improving the work environment of our employees, with the keyword of "science of processing points (analyzing the points that determine quality and value)" so that we do not fall behind in the rapidly changing automotive industry.
